This family has a connection that is impossible to describe. They have so much love for each other. They are full of grace (Mom’s name actually, so fitting) patience, joy, and passion for each other. Mom was amazing to watch as she brought life into the world. She was incredibly strong and calm. Big sister was like a mini doula, comforting and loving her mama. She was stoic the entire time. Even when mom’s pain levels were obviously high, she remained centered and kept her composure better than most grown ups would in that situation. Dad was a rock, with his unending support and, as you’ll see, it is so obvious just how much that man loves his family.
Her nurses were so attentive and caring (if you know me, you know I love nurses). Her midwife provided a level of care, the likes of which I have never seen before. She was exactly the kind of caregiver every mother should have at her bedside during childbirth. She was just wonderful to be around and to watch.
I am forever grateful to have been there for Nakoa’s birth. It was an honor to witness and to capture for them.
Here is the Birth Story of Nakoa…
